When creating a will, many lawyers ask who you want to take care of your minor children if you should pass away before they are grown. Recently, there has been a concern of what happens to a person’s pet after they die. There are several options to make sure your pets are well taken care of after you pass including putting provisions in your will, setting up a trust with the pet as a beneficiary, or even putting a provision in your power of attorney documents that someone take care of your pets.
